Your Role as a Social Media Advisor

As a Social Media Advisor, you will be dealing with customer comments and queries where they have communicated through a variety of different social networking websites. You will ensure all queries and enquiries are dealt with in a professional and effective manner through the use of this media.

What will I be doing?

This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment where you are encouraged to work using your own initiative and really make a difference to the customers. As part of the Social Media team, you will be exploring the advantages of social networking sites and building relationships with customers via a number of channels including online, voice, webchat and via the website.

The responses will be free text, enabling you to tailor each response to the individual customer. As a result, it is imperative that you are highly skilled in written communication.

You will need to be clear in both your written and verbal communication and ensure to resolve the customer`s queries effectively and efficiently in a positive and engaging manner. You will provide an excellent shopping experience, ensuring all areas of quality and compliance are adhered to.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • You will be a confident communicator
  • Fully conversant with all social networking websites.
  • Identify issues which fall outside of the norm and escalate if required
  • Deal with different business areas at all levels
  • Maintain an unbiased view of each individual query ensuring Treating Customers Fairly principals are applied
  • You will have excellent communication (written and oral) listening, problem solving and questioning skills
  • Highly motivated with a ‘can do attitude’
  • Target driven
  • Good negotiator
  • Math skills are an advantage
